Dagger Cake by GamerGirl84244
Dagger Cake
I made this for a friends 21st. He's super into larp, and the party theme was medieval, so it seemed appropriate. Everything in it is edible. The rocks are white chocolate mud cake with cheesecake filling, and chocolate mud cake with cream filling. The scroll is white chocolate and wafer paper, the roller for the scroll is a Lindt chocolate bar covered in fondant, the gems are isomalt, and the dagger is rice bubbles and marshmellow with buttercream. It took a while but came out exactly as I had planned, and tasted great, too!

Rainbow Butterfly Mini Cakes
I got this idea in my head, and I really couldn't get past it, so I just went ahead and brought it to life. I'll probably post close ups of each one later, but for now; Group Pic!
So these are lemon cakes, all covered with fondant and decorated with royal icing. It's the first time I've made royal icing from scratch (super easy) and now that I'm thinking about it probably the first time I've ever really used royal icing at all. Lots of learning throughout this project. Anyways, the piping is a bit messy but it's all g.

Atop the lemon cakes are butterflies made of toffee and dark chocolate. This was the real experiment, I haven't been able to find any toffee butterflies and I wanted pretty ones that let the light through. It took some trial and error, and there are definitely some things I would change next time I do these, but overall I am thrilled with how pretty they turned out.

If I could change my username now, I would :/ Damn you 15 year old me.

Busy busy busy!
I have a house inspection this week, so I've been trying to get everything lovely and neat (omg so much washing to do) while also trying to get through my remaining shoe orders. On the up side, my craft room is looking fantastic :D

I've got a few new projects coming up so I really want to get everything out of the way before then, which means no rest for me! Yesterday I finished the one of the Superjail shoes I've been putting off for over a year. I must admit that even though I'm not a fan of the show, the shoe looks pretty cool with all those colours. I also finished a pair of shoes I donated for a charity fundraiser, they arent very interesting in my opinion but the customer that won the prize was pleased with them so thats good. Tonight I'm working on a pair of DOTA 2 shoes, I've got the basic design down so it should just be painting for me tonight which is nice and chill. Getting very close to being free of my existing artistic responsibilities ^.^ I also have a cake to bake tonight since I won't be home tomorrow to do it then. I'll be glad when everything is out of the way.

So as I mentioned I have some new projects coming up that need my full attention, I'm actually already working on them to some degree but wasn't making as much progress as I'd have liked so they're on hold until they can have my full attention. What are they? Well I'm helping program a 2D fighting game, it's not really my style of game but any kind of programming is fun. That's going well, getting to the stage where we need specific characters to develop. That's not my problem, all the design is being done by my friend who is lead designer on this project, but I'm doing a lot of the code logic so we'll soon see how well my approach works. I'm also going to have a go at the character animation for the game >.< It's such a huge undertaking for me, since I sometimes have trouble with poses, I rarely ever draw males, and I've never done animation before. He's confident I can do it though, so I'm willing to have a try.

So yeah, thats my update and a general idea of what everyone can expect to see on my deviant art in the coming months.
Love you all!

P.S - Cam, give some serious thought to what you want your Disney shoes to look like; I'll be doing them within the next 2 weeks. Also remind me what size you are again so I can go buy the shoes.

You mentioned something about your Etsy store but I can't seem to find a link. Your shoe prints are amazing and was hoping you did commissions for them.
