Lifes Tide

Lost in space, the time eroding
Nothing back, the path unfolding
Secrets, lies, the terrible truth
The things that now destroy your youth

Did it ever matter?
Did they ever care?
Will they notice your no longer there?

They say its just the way things are
The way things were, its gone too far
And now your falling once again
The flashing pictures, frame by frame

You hold your breath
Will it ever end?
The darkness now seems like a friend

You have the choice to rise above
Or continue with this broken love
But what to choose? The choice is hard
Your hearts a mess, your senses jarred

So should you stop?
And just let go?
It always seems we never know

But then, so fast, you find the floor
And your not falling anymore
You stand and slowly look around
Your heart seemed lost but now its found

Now just one step

And it seems easier to climb

Then you hear a voice that you cannot place
And a lovely not-so-familiar face
And you feel it coming once again
Will it end in something more than friends?
